Ask Alexis is an AI-powered persona built by PreEmpt.Life, in collaboration with Francis Wade for LTSP26. She helps executives, consultants and strategy leaders uncover the structural reasons a strategic problem has persisted—especially when the obvious explanations no longer seem sufficient.

What Alexis does

Alexis doesn’t begin by offering best practices or validating the frustration in the room.

She investigates.

Her conversation follows a deliberately tight two-act structure:

First, diagnosis.
She asks one question at a time, without judgment, until the hidden payoff behind the problem can be named.

Then, resolution.
She probes that payoff from several directions:

  • Can you bypass it?
  • Can you make it costly?
  • Can you contain it?
  • Can you confront whoever benefits from it?
  • Can you challenge the original decision that created the arrangement?

The experience is capped at five exchanges. It doesn’t end with an interesting diagnosis. It lands on either a concrete next move or a reasoned decision to stop pushing and wait.

Ask Alexis was created by PreEmpt.Life in collaboration with Francis Wade for LTSP26.

PreEmpt.Life is a UK-based decision intelligence infrastructure provider and enabler. The company developed Alexis’s underlying diagnostic method and persona logic around a discipline of helping leaders see the structural reasons a strategic decision has stalled.

Alan Gates, Managing Director of PreEmpt.Life, led the development and testing of the experience, with Mike Jackson part of the PreEmpt.Life team behind the persona. The testing confirmed that Alexis’s strongest moments come when she responds specifically to what the participant has said rather than simply moving through a predetermined sequence.
