Mr. Orane is the retired Chairman and CEO of GraceKennedy Ltd. He is currently a director of publicly traded companies Radio Jamaica Ltd and 1834 Ltd (formerly the Gleaner Company Ltd). He served as President of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica from December 1992 to December 1994 and as Vice President from December 2001 to February 2003. Mr. Orane served as an Independent Senator in the Senate from 1998 to 2002 and was appointed a member of the Privy Council in 2009. He is an Industrial Engineer and a Justice of the Peace
