Gwen E. Garrison is a research and data strategist working to strengthen data collection, reporting, and policies. She helps leverage organizational data assets through the trifecta of data skills: visualization, management, and governance. She is the founding director of Claremont Graduate University’s Educational Evaluation and Data Analysis program and Clinical Full Professor in the School of Educational Studies. Dr. Garrison has nearly 35 years of experience building and sustaining organizational data use for critical policy and operational decisions. She has managed large data systems with millions of records and thousands of variables with high ethical standards for privacy and security. She has authored over 60 association and academic level publications and presentations. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she excels at being an equity minded data leadership of her own company, High Sierra Insights, that coaches organizations in research design, organizational change, data management & visualization for diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
